- PRIORITY NEED: ReStore donations pick-up
- Robert Middleton
How can one volunteer project raise over $25,000 to build homes, community, and hope in Rochester? Through ReStore!
For those who aren't familiar, our Habitat ReStores accept donated furniture, major appliances, home improvement and construction materials, then resell them to help Habitat build!
Flower City Habitat has two ReStores, and we just got offered a HUGE donation of vanities, kitchen cabinets, stainless steel appliances, bedroom and living room furniture from a hotel that is remodeling.
The last time we received a donation like this, it resulted in over $25,000 towards our mission, but it will all end up in the landfill if we can't pick it up next week.
We'll need a couple skilled volunteers to help disconnect and disassemble everything, and a few heavy lifters each day to help move everything. Volunteer shifts are available all week.
Help us out, meet our rock-star ReStore team, and see another side of Habitat by signing up to volunteer on this project. Every shift filled means less in the landfill and more for Habitat's mission! Click the volunteer button on the right to see shifts and sign-up!
If you can't make these dates, we also have our ReStore "Your Neighbor Is Awesome" Door Hanging project that has flexible times for a group of 4-12 people.
The last time we did this project, we saw a 15% increase in donations, resulting in over $5,000 more for building homes, community, and hope in Rochester! Contact Ken at kbraley@rochesterhabitat.org or 585-435-7252 for details.

In Support of Greater Rochester Habitat for Humanity
People in our community, and all over the world, partner with Habitat for Humanity to build or improve a place they can call home. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. With our help, Habitat homeowners achieve the strength, stability, and self-reliance they need to build a better life for themselves and their families.
